Liderlere \u00c7a\u011fr\u0131m\u0131zd\u0131r<\/strong><\/p>\n Our Call to the Leaders<\/strong><\/p>\n Due to the fire disaster both the Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot communities are suffering great losses. While the hectares of forests that has been burning are of a very significant ecological loss, two people have also lost their lives while fighting the fire and many has been injured.<\/p>\n (Ya\u015fanan yang\u0131n felaketi ile birlikte K\u0131br\u0131sl\u0131 T\u00fcrk ve K\u0131br\u0131sl\u0131 Rum toplumu b\u00fcy\u00fck kay\u0131plar vermi\u015ftir. Yanan hektarlarca orman ekolojik anlamda son derece b\u00fcy\u00fck bir kay\u0131pken ayr\u0131ca yang\u0131n s\u00f6nd\u00fcrmek i\u00e7in \u00e7al\u0131\u015fan iki insan hayat\u0131n\u0131 kaybetmi\u015f, yaralananlar olmu\u015ftur.)<\/p>\n The help offered by the Turkish Cypriot side against this disaster is a valid and meaningful offer. It is important to be able to act outside of the impositions of the status quo during periods of crises such as natural disasters and fires which would be of concern to every single person living on the island of Cyprus. However, it is important to remember that we have repeatedly been unsuccessful to do so. Although the fire which started in Varosha last year was in a smaller scale, the fact that the help offer was rejected did not make any contribution to the mutual trust environment. A similar help offered by the Greek Cypriot community was rejected years ago during the major fire disaster of Pendadaktylos.<\/p>\n (Ya\u015fan\u0131lan bu olay kar\u015f\u0131s\u0131nda K\u0131br\u0131s T\u00fcrk taraf\u0131nca yap\u0131lan yard\u0131m \u00f6nerisi yerinde ve anlaml\u0131 bir \u00f6neridir. K\u0131br\u0131s \u00fclkesinde ya\u015fayan her insan\u0131 ilgilendiren do\u011fal afet ve yang\u0131n gibi kriz ko\u015fullar\u0131nda stat\u00fckonun dayatt\u0131\u011f\u0131 kal\u0131plar\u0131n d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda hareket edebilmek \u00f6nemlidir. Ancak bu konuda defalarca ba\u015far\u0131s\u0131z oldu\u011fumuzu hat\u0131rlatmak gerekir. Ge\u00e7ti\u011fimiz y\u0131l kapal\u0131 Mara\u015f’ta \u00e7\u0131kan yang\u0131n \u00e7ok daha k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck olsa da i\u015fbirli\u011fi talebinin reddedilmesiyle kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131kl\u0131 g\u00fcven ortam\u0131na katk\u0131 sa\u011flayamad\u0131. Y\u0131llar \u00f6nce \u00e7\u0131kan Girne yang\u0131n\u0131nda da benzeri bir \u015fekilde K\u0131br\u0131s Rum toplumundan gelen yard\u0131m \u00f6nerisi reddedilmi\u015fti.)<\/p>\n Today, while Trodoos is still burning and while this makes us better understand that we are living in the same country, we are suffering from the misery of not being able to interfere together to the damages against our shared values. At this point it is very important to increase the efforts to extinguish the fire no matter where the efforts are coming from. From this moment on there is no point for the Leaders to discuss who will be extinguishing the fire. However common campaigns should be established to restore the destruction sites caused by this disaster.<\/p>\n (Bug\u00fcn, Trodos yanarken bir \u00fclkede ya\u015fad\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z\u0131 daha iyi kavrarken, ortak de\u011ferlerimize birlikte m\u00fcdahale edememenin sefaletini ya\u015f\u0131yoruz.
